The Panthers have added two players to their Class of 2025 this week.
Henry Cody Lau, a 6-foot-8 forward from Australia, announced his commitment to Pitt Friday night.
“Huge thanks to my agent Daniel Moldovan for his guidance, to the Sydney Kings for their role in my development and to my family and everyone who’s supported me throughout this journey,” Lau posted on his X account. “To Coach (Jeff) Capel and the entire Pitt coaching staff thank you for believing in me. I’m ready to give everything I have to the program.”
Lau previously played for the Sydney Kings in the NBL, the pre-eminent professional men's basketball league in Australia and New Zealand. He also participated in the U20 Australian National Championships this year, averaging 15 points per game and shooting 52% from the field and 92% from the free-throw line.
Earlier this week, Pitt also secured a commitment from Kieran Mullen, a 7-foot center from Vancouver, Canada. Mullen played his high school ball in Connecticut and reportedly plans to redshirt his freshman season.
Lau and Mullen now join Omari Witherspoon as part of Pitt’s Class of 2025. Demarco Minor, Dishon Jackson, Barry Dunning Jr. and Nojus Indrusaitis are among the other newcomers on Pitt’s roster, which also includes returning players in Cameron Corhen, Brandin Cummings, Amdy Ndiaye and Papa Kante.
